This lab test is used to identify SARS-CoV-2 , the virus that causes COVID-19. It is considered as the gold standard and is also the preferred test authorized by ICMR for the detection of the SARS-CoV-2.
Mandatory Govt Requirements:
As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) guidelines, the patient need the following documents to get tested.
Government ID ( Aadhaar card / Voter Id / Passport ) - current address proof and contact number to be provided to the lab processing the sample.
Doctor’s prescription prescribing the COVID-19 Test, at the time of sample collection. The prescription should have the doctor’s medical registration number and Doctor’s stamp.
