Is the COVID-19 Test Required For Travel Purposes ?
Domestic Travel

It is Mandatory for all International Travel to or From India. The traveller has to produce a COVID-19 NEGATIVE RT PCR Report not older than 72 Hours of their Travel.

What Documents do I need to get Tested for COVID-19?
As per the government regulations, certain documents are required to be submitted at the time of testing for government records.
1. Photo ID (Aadhaar card/ Voter Id/ Passport) - Proof of current address and contact number of the suspect patient to be provided at the time of sample collection.
2. Duly filled ICMR Patient proforma/ TRF (Test Requisition Form). Download the Form

When Should I Get Tested for COVID-19 (Coronavirus) ?
As per the Official Testing Guidelines laid out by ICMR, you should consider getting tested for COVID-19 in any of the following cases:
- - If you have any Signs/ Symptoms similar to COVID-19, such as High Fever, Dry Cough or Respiratory sickness, or Loss of Taste and/ or Smell.
- - You have recently been in Contact with (or in the Close Vicinity of) a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19.

What Types of COVID-19 Tests are Available?
RT-PCR TestAs per ICMR guidelines, RT-PCR (Real Time Reverse TranscriptionPolymerase Chain Reaction) based test is the recommended testing method followed for COVID-19 Testing.
A Nasal (Nasopharyngeal) and Throat (Oropharyngeal) Swab is collected for testing by taking due safety measures.
